We recently redid our kitchen and moved the dishwasher. Because of it's placement the guy who did the work ran the drain tube down through the floor and connected it to the drain pipe coming from the sink. I have read and been told that it should have been run back under the sink and hung higher and into the sink drain. I'm not sure if this would cause the problem we're having or not, however it did work fine for about a month or so after it was moved.
Now, when the dishwasher starts a cycle it starts spraying water fine. But within maybe 10-15 mins it stops spraying water and the motor just hums. If we hit drain, it then drains fine. We had a repair guy come over today and he suggested we drill some holes in a pvc cap that connects to the drain pipe underneath it to let it breath. We did that but it still doesn't work. So before I go and buy another dishwasher, can anyone suggest any other possible solutions? Thanks.
