Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 4/27/2013(UTC) Posts: 3		Recently the machine makes a loud squealing noise when the spin cycle starts, but dissapears once up to speed. There is also a slight mechanical noise that is present but hard to describe. I thought it was the belt, but it still does it after replacement. Also, this started after we used a TIDE washing machine cleaner, but it may be coincidental ! Any help or suggestions on how to trouble shoot would be appreciated. Thanks

You can try replacing the thrust bearing, here is the kit Part number: AP4009132 Instructions are included.

The thrust bearing on these models fails after a while, so replacing it is really good maintenance. If you buy from this site and the part does not fix the problem you can return it. Also this can be a one person job but it really helps to have a helper.
