Two year old Whirlpool dishwasher gets stuck in drain cycle. I have replaced control board and drain pump, neither of which seemed to matter. What else could be causing this? If the check valve can someone explain how to verify. I am over $200 into this repair and next step will be replacement dishwasher. NOT A WHIRLPOOL THOUGH!

My dishwasher begins the regular wash cycle as expected and goes on until the drain cycle begins. Then it remains in the drain cycle without ever going back to the next wash cycle. I have replaced the control board, as everything I read suggested this could be the issue. On Friday morning I replaced the drain pump and still there is no change to my problem.

Would it drain completely?

Have you seen any lights on the control panel flashing?

It does drain completely and there are no lights flashing on the display.

I do not see anything else but defective control board. It has to be exchanged under the parts warranty.

I have no idea what else to do. I hate to replace the dishwasher since it is less than two years old. With a new board and new pump plus a service call to look at the dishwasher I have $240 dollars into it already.

When and where did you purchase the control board?

Gene.
