I have GE fridge with bottom freezer. A few days ago I moved it from one house to another. Everything seems fine "so far". The fridge and freezer temps are good. As I was about to move the fridge into place I notice what I think is a thermistor peeking out under the bottom left side. It has a broken cable tie/tie wrap connected. and My question is ... Where is the most likely place this thermistor is supposed to be? I can see the one on the right side of the freezer is in place.
Any help would be appreciated.

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator?
If temperatures in both compartments are good then it is not a thermistor.
gene.

Thanks for the reply. The Model Number is PFCS1NJWA SS. I did note the wires on the white device have the number 240507 stamped on them. May mean nothing. I took some more pictures but should have had a light source. I'm hoping with a better light I might be able to slip my iPod touch under the edge and take some pictures such that I can see something useful. Thanks again for any responses.

OK, I may have stumbled upon something. In this cabinet diagram for the my refrigerator it shows a thermistor behind the Grill Base Cover. Part number is 268. This is in addition to the one shown in the freezer section diagram and the one shown in the fresh food section diagram. Can I just reattach it behind the grill somewhere?

I thought this would be an easy question to answer. I guess I was wrong. I have just tied it to a cross piece under the freezer. Best of luck to all. I'm out of here.
