The dryer will not start, just hums. It will start by turning the drum. I think I need a new motor. The thing is once it starts it runs perfect all day, many loads run no problems, starts and stops as if no problem. Then the next day it does the same thing. No start just hums. Will start with a spin of the drum and runs for the day.

you do need a new motor. once you start the drum manually, it runs and heats up the start winding causing it to expand and work properly. when the motor cools the winding contracts and no longer works properly. new motor
