the resistance usually goes down with the temperature goes up. At least this is what happens with the thermistors I looked at in KitchenAid models.
Having same problem, but in my case the resistance does not match the correct temperature.

I replaced the thermistor. Got it for $38 shipped so it was worth replacing and seeing if it fixed the problem. Haven't noticed freezing in the refrigerator compartment anymore.
