At least this is what happens with the thermistors I looked at in KitchenAid models. Having same problem, but in my case the resistance does not match the correct temperature.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/19/2013(UTC) Posts: 2		I replaced the thermistor. Got it for $38 shipped so it was worth replacing and seeing if it fixed the problem. Haven't noticed freezing in the refrigerator compartment anymore.
