Our Maytag slide-in oven losses power (stops baking) intermittently. It has power to the oven light and the burners will still light, but the control panel will either go black as unplugged or the clock flashes. The oven temperature drops and quits heating either way. I tried running another outlet with an extension cord but same problem. When the control panel goes black, we have to wait about 15 to 20 mins. before the clock flashes and we can re-set it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tom

Hi.

You need to check:
If the cooling fan is running and it's up to the speed and there is no air flow restrictions.(Make sure you are checking cooling fan not the convection fan).
If the hi - limit thermostat doesn't open prematurely.
If above listed parts checks out OK - then most likely it's bad control board/clock.
Here are the breakdown diagrams and 05-Top Assembly (ada, Adb, Adw, Adc) parts for Maytag MGS5870ADC - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

Simon.
