Hello, I found some similar posts on this site but could not find an exact answer to my question. I bought a slightly used dishwasher from GE (quiet power 1). It is stainless steel and appears to be in good condition. However I found the water discharge part is different from my current Whirlpool's. Based on what I found on the site, it is a valve covered with the red valve flapper. Do we directly hook the valve to discharge line? What size of discharge line should fit with the valve? I think the flapper is in fair condition and may need to be replaced as well.

Thank you for your help! :)

I just noticed that I forgot to attach the pic for the valve & flapper. Here goes the pic.
