what could be wrong if my ice maker is on cubed but only gives crushed ice:confused:

Probably a failed or frozen selector solenoid like in my post Frigidaire Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Problems. Give it a read and see if that helps. The main parts are easy to get to by removing the ice bucket and four 1/4" head screws, and one wiring connector and the entire thing comes out.
