3 month old Kenmore Auto Moisture Sensing Dryer has moisture sensors inside drum. The sensor strips snag any fabric with knap (towels, fuzzy things, etc.). Is there anything I can place next to the strips such as heat tolerant tape or putty which will stop the snagging? Either that or I find a way to return the dryer. I realize the strips themselves need to be exposed to the air to sense moisture but this is stoopid.

3 months old and already having this problem? You need to request a warranty service call. I have had the moisture sensor and the drum glide snag clothes, but only on older units where the parts were worn and needed to be replaced. To have this issue on a new machine means that it must have a defect. I'm sure that Sears would be glad to take care of it.

Thanks, Dryer Dummy. That was going to be my next move. I've never seen a "gizmo" like the sensor before. I will be calling the service guys in the morning. thanks again.
