Five year old Micro/Convection countertop unit. While convec cooking Easter dinner (of course), the turntable got jerky with a clicking/popping sound coming from the "rotator" that is what drives the glass turntable. Almost sounds like a stripped plastic gear. It eventually stopped turning though it will go a turn or 2 on a restart. The unit still microwaves and heats. New one costs $430 and I am wondering if anybody had an idea of what is wrong and a repair cost estimate. At its age and with a good deal of use, I wouldn't want to much into it. Thanks for any ideas.

HI.
It could be the turn table motor or the coupler. Provide the complete model number of the unit, then I'l get you the part numbers and prices.
Simon.
