We have a Whirlpool dryer, which is about 2 years old that is now occasionally damaging clothes. A couple of shirts now have snags in them etc.

When I feel around inside the dryer for anything sharp, or something that clothes can get snagged on - the only thing I find is one of the vents on the rear of the inside feels like it has rusted and has lost its paint coating. It feels rough.

Is this the cause? How easy is it to replace?

I will post a pic.

Thanks for your help. :)

Can anyone help me out here? Should I try sanding that part? Just replace it? Anything else I should look for?
