Hi,
I have a Crosley self clean stove- Model # CWP3360. The oven temperature
cannot be adjusted. When you turn a dial to designate BAKE, the oven
elements come on and stay on even if the oven temperature selector is
off or at no degrees. Turning it up and then down doesn't do any good either.
I think we need to get another temperature control sensor, unless you
have another possible solution.
Also, I was wondering if I can use another sensor from another stove.
This old unit sensor is possibly far too expensive to replace.
Thank you,
Al

Hi Al,

Most likely the problem is the Bake relay on the control board stuck closed.

The model number you posted does not come up and I'm not able to provide more accurate advice.

Gene.

Bake Relay... ???
Is that a relay device much like on a car? A small square electronic
box type unit?
Tks.

Not really. It is a part of the control board.

The bake relay you describe that's in the control board, can it be accessed
by possibly opening the control board and perhaps visually seeing where
this bake relay may be stuck open? Otherwise, I guess a new control
board has to be purchased, correct?
By the way, thanks a lot for your assistance. Best Wishes, Al

Dear Gene,
What a dim bulb...I am.
The Crosley model # is CWP3660 'not' CWP3360.

I hope this helps and determines what part I might need or if I can even fix the problem.
Tks.
Al

Al,

Unfortunately this model number does not come up either. Is this an American model?

Gene.
