On the fill cycle, the hot water continues to run even after agitation has started. This caused a small flood in my home last Wednesday. What part do I need to fix this problem?

How do you stop the water? Does it stop when you cut the machine off? That would be the water inlet valve stuck if it don't. If the cold water does cut off when it's full then it's definitely the water inlet valve. Part 805 on the diagram of your controls.

A couple of questions and maybe we can clear this up.

1. Did the hot water flow stop when you shut the machine off, or did it continue even with the machine not running? How did you make the hot water stop coming in?

2. If you start the machine with a cold water wash cycle what happens? Does it operate normally or do you get the same overflow?

Thanks

The water does not stop when I cut the machine off. The cold water stops but not the hot water. I have to cut the hot water off at the faucet.
