Bought the Samsung front load combos probably about 4 years ago.
Just the other day the dryer has stopped generating heat. No error codes, no lint trapped anywhere, good airflow out the vents and it appears all other functionality is good.
Everything appears fine, but the heat has stopped. No heat whatsoever.
I'm decent with a wrench/screwdriver - I've already removed the panel around the exhaust hose and everything looks ok there, cleaned out and lint lying around, checked the smaller access panel on the top right on the back and the connections there all look good.
Haven't broke out the ohm meter yet - but something is blown in there...

Hello, Did it show any error code? Start the troubleshooting from verifying 240 VAC to the dryer. The heater needs 240 VAC while the motor will run on 120 VAC. If there is nothing wrong, check the heating element and the hi-limit and the cut-off thermostats (both mounted on the heating element housing) for continuity. Post the results. - The heating element assembly Part number: AP4342351

No error codes of any sort being displayed - or do I have to do a diagnostic mode for that?
This might sound dumb, but it's possible for only part of the breaker to be tripped?
EDIT: Breaker was not tripped

I measured the hi-limit and thermal cut-off and the numbers jump around but land on 0.03 so from what I can tell those are good.
I want to check the third harness it but it doesn't look to slide out too easy once I remove the one phillips screw...

It was the heating element. The coil has a break in it. Thanks for everything. Cheers! Leo

Hi,
I found this thread while searching my problem. for my Samsung DV203aew/xac.
I have checked the coil, thermistor and thermostat, all have continuity.
I hooked the voltmeter up to the the terminals of he heater element, and cycled it on.
The unit started, and then there was a 'click' and the voltmeter would register a quick reading and return to '0'....no power to the element.
Am I looking at a new control board, or could it be something else?
