Replaced bimetal thermostat. Unit freezer worked fer about a week and now will freeze but thenin a day or so will defrost too much. Would it be the thermostat Circuit board or both? Many thanks,K.kain.

I would check the bimetal first. It should not show continuity when it is not cold. It stops the defrost cycle when it gets warm. It should prevent it from defrosting too long.
