 We got this dryer from a friend that told us it needed a belt and power cord, so we bought a belt and power cord for it only to open it up and seen that it has a belt on itthat is just fine. so we start it up to test that it works and it spends for a few seconds and stops. it heats up just fine. so we took it apart to investigate the problem and it appears to be missing the pully system... but im not sure so i tried to look at the diagrams you provide but they are no help really either cause i dont even know what side of the dryer the pullies should be on. can you help me out please? Thanks so much the masseys

we put it back together and started it up and it seems to run fine other than the burning smell and that it wont cut itself off... what could be the problem?

Hello, Did you replace the power cord? If you did then what is the part number of the new power cord? How did you connect to the dryer? There are no any "pulley system" for the drive belt used in this dryer. There is only motor pulley which is a part of the drive motor. This dryer is not very simple to take apart and assemble back. Make sure you did everything in comparison with the attached instructions. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Whirlpool LEW0050PQ2 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.comGene.
