Hi.
I don't understand what do you mean by you where getting 120VAC from each side? Did you check each leg to the ground? Each leg carries 120VAC, between them - 240VAC.
You can post the results the way you were doing it.

Yes.
I got 125 volts from each leg. Ran "+" to socket and "-" to ground.
When I did the test, I did not know how to do a 240 volt test. Your earlier post explained to me how to do it correctly to see if I was getting a 240 volt.
I am back at home and used your explanation to test my my own range, and It showed 240 volts.
So the question still is: If I have 125 volts on each leg while switch is on HI, Should I still do the 240 volt test?
If the answer is no, what else can I do to get this up and working.
This will be a slow process. I have Internet at home to ask you questions. But the range is 3 miles away with no Internet.
So I feel like a ball bouncing between 2 homes.

You may have a feed back on one of the legs from the switch.

Today's Update.
Be sitting before reading any farther. Your going to laugh hard and fall down and hurt yourself.
The new switch I bought had the prongs in a different position then the old switch. So in transferring the wires, I followed the wires from the old in the same sequence. Well I should have looked harder at the new switch. The H1 and L1 were in different locations, so when I put the wires on the new switch, the wires were in the wrong prongs.
Got the wires on the correct prongs and every thing works.

Don't feel bad - it's a common mistake. I suggest to everybody to label the wires and compair the marks before replacing the wires.
