A year ago,I purchased a new membrane keypad becaue one button was cracked. Did not put it in then , but now need to do it. I have the parts diagram, but not a service manual. Can I do this repair by removing the top two screws on each side of the inner door, plus screws at latch..or do I have to completely take apart the inner door?
Also, I noted that the control panel is NOW sold as a complete assembly including the plastic "body" but I have just the membrane itself. Will this be OK? The problem is that the buttons are cracking. Everything still works, and wife has been using scotch tape over the buttons...but this will not last!! Actually, I just opened the box with my part and it is the complete panel assembly, so my only question is how to get the old one out to access the ribbon connector. Thank you very much.

Well, we got it done! Turns out you do have to remove ALL the screws on both sides of inner door, so the front panel will drop away far enough to access the latch assembly, and control board, both of which have to be moved over to the new panel.
Seems to be working fine, will keep an eye out for door leaks for a few days.
