The GE front load washer will not spin when in a regular wash cycle. It fills and drains fine, but doesn't even attempt to spin. The system times out and the start button flashes. If I put it on drain/spin, it works like a champ. What gives?

I just had a GE repair man tell me it was my circuit board. Even tho all lights and cycles work. I'm not that bright, but I don't understand how if everything else works, how the circuit board is "fried." He advised me to buy a new one. This is only 3 yr old!! Is this common for GE?

You still can do the diagnosis yourself.
