Please Help!!! My spin cylce is so weak that my clothes are wringing wet. Now sometimes it spins out ok, but for the most part spinning isn't fast enought to get water out. Just put a lid switch on yesterday because it wouldn't drain or spin. The lid switch was broke so it is now draining, but spinning is slow.. :(

First fill the washer to the highest water level, then select the final spin drain in the regular wash cycle, the tub should drain empty in 90 seconds or less and then the tub should start to spin. That will tell you if the drain pump and hoses are clear of any clogs, and the drain pump is working proper. If all's OK, then you'll need to remove the washer cabinet and remove the tub cover and check for a small article of clothing stuck between the tubs. Then you'll need to check the clutch assembly Part number: AP3094537
for excess wear and slippage. This would be "normal" or expected for a 10 to 12 year old washer of this style.
