I got the Stack Wash/Dryer free from a friend, weren't any problems when inherited(a little long to dry, just thought it was because of age). This past week, the Washing Machine wouldn't fill with Water. I've been troubleshooting and came up with either the Inlet Valve, Lock, or the actual contact for the knob. In the time I was taking to look up problems for the stack, I hadn't used to Dry, when I did yesterday, I found there was no heat in the drum when I ran the dryer. Basically, I'd like to know if the problems are correlated, how to fix it(cost of parts?), and/or if somehow the washer and dryer seemed to s*** the bed all at once.

also, I added "More than 10 years" because I inherited the stack wash/dryer but don't know when it was originally bought.

Any input will be greatly appreciated... I'd buy a newer model, but strapped for cash at 22 years old :(

Hello,

Make sure the faucets are completely open.

Open the control panel and check for continuity between the terminals 1 (white/black) & 3 (tan/black) at the pressure switch while the washer is empty. The wires have to be removed prior to the test. If there is no continuity, replace the pressure switch.

I would like to suggest, you start another thread in the Dryer repair section to post your questions regarding the dryer problems.
