Hi. We have aWhirlpool refrigerator(~7yrs old) and have been struggling to keep the temperature in theproper range. It frosts and ice collectsin the back of the freezer, blocking the cool air from flowing to the fridgeproperly. First we replaced the running capacitorand that didn’t fix it. We then orderedthe heating coil for the defroster. Whenwe went to replace it, it was the wrong part. We also have replaced the thermostat. It clicks as though it is tryingto turn on/off. What do you recommend?

That's a defrost problem caused by either the defrost heater, the defrost thermostat, or the control board. Originally Posted by: AMD First we replaced the running capacitorand that didn’t fix it. Throwing parts at it hoping one will fix it will get real expensive, real fast.
