Hello,

I have a ge monogram stainless freestanding refrigerator that just totally died except for the light when you open the door.
I don't have the model or serial as the stickers were removed. It looks exactly the same as today's monogram model.

The motherboard is EBX1005G01 Rev. L
I read that this board has lots of issues. I checked out both side and don't see any bad spots. I'm also wondering if its the fan as the coil was covered with dust and dirt.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

It is impossible to provide any accurate advice without the complete model number. Look inside the refrigerator at the top shelf or at the sealing.

Hi, Chris.

Without the model number I won't be much of a help.

But based on what you posted I think you should replace the main control board.

I have a board and fan on the way. I took the fan out and tried applying it 11v DC and it does not work. Hopefully the fan and board get this up and running.

Thanks,
Chris

Thank you Chris.

Unplug the refrigerator. Remove the cover from the main control board on the back of the refrigerator. Remove the wire from the J11 terminal. Attach the voltmeter probes to that wire and the wire at the J7-9 connector.

Plug the refrigerator back and measure the voltage.

If the reading is about 120 VAC, replace the main control board.

If the reading is incorrect then the problem is with the power cord or outside the refrigerator.

- The main control board Part number: WR49X10152
Part number: WR49X10152
