Lower oven is not working. clock board has power. Can turn on lower oven, but element will not get hot. Pulled element out and turned on lower oven, volt reading across connections at element is zero, volt reading at either end of element is 105volts to ground(one side has some power). Upper oven works. Swapped temperature sensors, both work in upper oven. Cooling fan works when either oven is turned on. Is the relay on the 'relay-board' bad for the lower oven element or is another terminal/connector between the relay board and element. I haven't pulled the oven out. So what are your thoughts?

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire FFET2725LSA Wall Oven - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the wiring diagram. Could be that the thermal circuit breaker has opened. Remove power from the unit and check it with a meter, should be 0 ohms. I think it is item 119 in the Lower Oven Parts section. I am not 100% sure so trace the wires back to the elements to confirm this is the correct part. Also if you click on the part's picture a new page will open with better views etc. You will see that it has a red square on it's back. If this is popped out pushing it back in should reset the breaker. Some breakers do not have this unit so do not be surprised if yours does not. |

Am going back over today to pull oven to get to the back. I suspected that may be the problem, but I needed help to pull the oven out. Since and if the 'thermal breaker' is open, what 'condition' would cause it to open and at what temp does it open? Do you think it would be a good idea to replace the thermal breaker anyway, especially since it may not have a reset button?

Hi. If both BAKE and BROIL doesn't work check the resettable safety thermostat, located at the back of the oven Part number: 318004900

I do not know at what temperature it trips.
One cause may be that the oven sensor is bad.
Since you have swapped them check the upper oven temperature with a oven thermometer to see if it is now running hot. |
