my dishwasher doesnt seem to fill enough before it starts. i disabled the door switch and watched it, it starts filling but seems a little slow to me. the water level doesnt get much more than a quarter inch above the pump inlet when it starts and it seems to suck most of the water up and lose pressure as soon as it starts. the water level doesnt even reach the bottom of the float. i cleaned the valve as best i could because it was full of minerals and i checked the float valve with a multimeter, it seems fine. im running out of ideas.

Here are your parts 66516572202I would replace the valve. Most dishwashers fill to just under the heater. From your description it is not getting enough water. It should not fill till it actuates the overfill switch/float. This is a safety device that shuts the valve off in case the controller fails and keeps power going to the valve when it should have shut off. The unit just fills by time so it does not really know how much water is in it. Also if you have sediment problems drain some water out of your hot water tank use the drain or the pressure relief. Let it run till it is nice and clear. I do mine every 6 months or so. PS also makes the tank more efficient and will improve it's lifetime. |
