I have a whirlpool quite partner 1 that is only 2 yrs old. The heating element in bottom of washer broke in half and I replaced this with a new one. Since it has been replaced it seems not to heat or dry dishes. It's like it will not get hot it want even clean the dishwasher itself any advice on what else could be wrong ? It's not like its rocket science to put an element in what else could be the issue

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool DU1015XTXB1 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. It could be the hi-limit thermostat. Remove power from the unit and one wire at the hi-limit thermostat (item 14 in the Tub and Frame section). Then check it with a meter should be 0 ohms. If OK Check the heater resistance, should be around 20 ohms. According to the sheet it has a large variance. If OK Check from P4-3 to P4-4 at the control board. Should be the heater resistance. If OK check the thermistor (item 23 in the Pump and Motor section) for resistance, see the tech sheet. If all the above are OK you probably need a new control board. |
