Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/22/2013(UTC) Posts: 4		Ok, so my dryer heat stopped working, took it apart and discovered that the coils in the heating element were broken. Got the parts and replaced the coil and a few of the ceramic parts that were broken/burnt. After replacing these parts the heat started working again. Now I'm running it and the 'Automatic (cottons)' part of the timer is not working, just stays in place. The other parts of the timer seem to work fine (timed dry for instance). Is the timer possibly faulty or is there some kind of sensor that is possibly faulty causing the timer to NOT advance? Wondering if this may be why the coils possibly overheated and broke? Airflow seems fine too... Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

The normal reading should be around 4500 Ohms.
