Rats ate through my drain hose to the dishwasher so was flooding kitchen and eventually came up with a fault notification. Switched power off, unplugged machine and replaced hose with no problems. Having now re-fixed the side panel, plugged in and switched on, there are no lights or anything. Didn't touch any electrics inside the machine - what could it be?

Have checked fuse in appliance and RCD board - both fine

Hi.

Are you getting the 120VAC to the junction box underneath, check the connection inside the box, check the wires to the door latch.

Simon.

Just over 120VAC to the on/off button on the front. I have checked the functionality of the switch and it works on the meter. There is low voltage maybe 8 or 9 volts to the door closed switch/sensor.

Anything else i should check?

Thanks for your help so far.

HI.

when the door is open you should read about 120VAC at the door switch. Check the wiring under and inside the door, the rat could damage it.
Unfortunately Bosch allows limited access to the tech literature for you model, the diagram is not available.

Simon,

I just acquired a 20 year old bosch dishwasher [E-NR: SMU7056US/09] that is fully functional. No manuals are available any longer for it. ALL I NEED TO KNOW is what each button does. There are seven rectangular buttons lined up in a row on the top right side of the door. The far left one is (1) Power On/Off. The six to the right starting at the left *should be* (2) power scrub, (3) Auto, (4) Regular/Normal, (5) ?, (6) ?, (7) ?. Any clue what the last should be? Have you ever seen one of these before? Have an old manual.

A preemptive thanks one way or the other for your reply,

Delphine
