Hello guys this fridge is just past warranty, appliance outlet sent out sub-contractors on 3-4 occasions they all replaced defrost control board,heater and thermister every time and repair would last a couple of month's and evap. would freeze up again.I would like to know what the best way to put fridge into defrost manually? I ohmed out evap.motor at 200k got nothing 0 but it runs, also got ohms off the heater and thermister but dont have specs, any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! George

According to Whirlpool,
Unplug the refrigerator unit for about 30 seconds, and turn the thermostat located inside the refrigerator down to warm or off. <li class="step "> Reconnect the refrigerator to the wall. The adaptive defrost control should turn on in less than 10 seconds, and stay in defrost for about 20 minutes
