My Whirlpool duet sport washer turns on but does not start the wash cycle. I have replaced the door lock switch but to no luck. Now I see that I probably have to replace the CCU or the MCU, not sure which one to do since they are both expensive parts. Any suggestions are welcomed and also where I can buy these parts at.

My model number is WFW8400TW03

Hello,

Remove the toe panel. Remove the drain pump filter and clean it. Make sure there is no foreign objects left inside the pump.

Try to run the washer.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Whirlpool WFW8400TW03 Washer - AppliancePartsPros.com

I would suggest removing the MCU first... i was able to see a small dark area where it shorted out. See if you can visibly see anything first... but that is my guess.
I had big problems tracking this problem down because all the codes and symptoms suggested other problems, IE: door latch replaced unnecessarily.
Keep up the reading and questions... Good Luck
