Our Kenmore Elite side-by-side refrigerator/freezer is having trouble draining the defrost cycle water. When defrosted, the drain hole below the coils/heater element is not clogged. There is a slight miss-alignment between the hole, rubber grommet, and tube but it is seemingly impossible to better align them. In addition, a cup of water will drain successfully to the evaporator pan below when poured in the drip pan. During about 4-5 days of operation, the drain hole will freeze closed with ice. This blocks future water from properly draining.

Is there a defective part needing replacement that is causing this problem?

I can look for a service flash that might address the misalignment issue but I'll need your complete model number.
