Model AAV-1 / Part #35-6940 My wash machine has begun making a loud rattling/clicking noise when the machine goes onto rinse and spinning cycle and yesterday it stopped during the rinse cycle. There was a slight burning smell??? The water was still in the machine so I reset it and it did nothing. I waited a few hours and plugged the machine back in and set it on the spin cycle to get the water out the machine. It worked but was still making this rattling/clanking/clicking noise. What do I need to repair it, or has it run it's course??? Many Thanks, Paul.

Paul,
Sounds like the problem is a bad pump. The model number you posted is incomplete or incorrect. You should look for it on the washer (most likely under the lid) and not in the manual.
