Hello and thank you in advance for any help/insight that can be given.
Dryer suddenly stopped working mid-cycle (was set for 60 Minutes, stopped with 40 remaining) earlier today/yesterday, 12/27/12. Chassis seemed unusually warm even for having been on High Temperature setting. Turned off breaker(which had not tripped), unplugged the dryer, turned breaker back on, and checked the outlet which was fine. I let the dryer cool down then inspected internally, first the door switch which tested fine for continuity. Opened the control panel to check the wiring and found the Red Hot wire from the terminal to the timer scorched, and the corresponding Red Hot from the timer completely burned and frayed. Terminal checked out fine, so I stripped the wires back and reconnected them, plugged the dryer back in... nothing. Any ideas on cause and solution? Thanks!

Hello, Very likely the timer is the culprit. It can be caused by a loose connection. - The timer Part number: 131719100
