I was replacing the front bearing, bearing slides, and the foam gasket on the front air duct assembly. I was able to remove the front bearing easily enough, but when I tried to remove the front air duct assembly so I could replace the foam gasket on the backside, it wouldn't budge. I'm afraid to try to force it, lest it breaks. The online video I watched on how to remove it, made it seem simple enough, but it almost feels like mine is glued on or something crazy like that. It's only supposed to be held in by some clips. Any ideas on how to get it off without breaking it?

I read through those questions and answers. My particular model as far as I see, doesn't use screws to hold the assembly in place. It's just supposed to "snap" into place. Mine isn't budging one way or the other. I kind of wonder if the heat from the dryer over the years may have almost baked the plastic onto the metal. It's the only thing I can think of. The only reason I need it off is to replace the foam gasket strip on the back. The old one is askew and isn't really doing it's job at sealing. I'm not even sure how critical it is for that gasket to be in place though. If it isn't, I can probably just skip removing it altogether. What do you think?

It is important to prevent any air leaks because it will result in improper temperatures. If you afraid to break the part, you can seal it with permagum.
