I have had a few problems with the unit so far so I'll give a little background.
About a year ago, a fan inside the unit would race (rev up and down) continuously and after reading online, people said it was the main control panel. I replaced that and it worked fine.
Just about a month ago, I noticed that it seemed like a loud fan was staying on for longer than it should. I used the chat with a rep on the store side of this site who said it sounded like the main control board and shipped a new one.
After installing it just as I installed the last one, I noticed that the fridge and freezer were not as cool as they once were. Most of the stuff in the freezer was staying frozen, but ice cream was soft. The fridge was cool but not cold like it should be.
I checked and the coils in the freezer were completely frosted over. I began to defrost them just so I could get some cooling in there to keep the food good and read that I should not have defrosted with a hairdryer and rather used the defrost timer to make the freezer go into defrost. But... I cannot figure out where that defrost timer is. It is back up and sounding like it used to when it was working but obviously I want to fix the problem so it doesnt happen again.
And also, I defrosted half of the coils, but dont know where all the water went. I put a towel under the coils (unplugged) but it didnt get very wet. Theres no water on the floor and none in the rear area where that clear tube comes down behind the cardboard cover.
Thanks for any help. I'll keep it updated as it progresses.

It cooled more like normal over the night. I guess I'll defrost the rest of the coils and see how it works.
