Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 12/8/2012(UTC) Posts: 2		Hello all, I have a loud squeak in my Whirlpool Cabrio 5500 washer, looking for help to diagnose? Here are (2) 30-second long videos I took: 1) Squeaky noise - Whirlpool Cabrio 5500 washing machine - YouTube 2) Squeaky noise - Whirlpool Cabrio 5500 washing machine #2 - YouTube The noise happens during the sensing phase as well as the spin phases. It's interesting to note that I can NOT recreate this noise manually (i.e. reaching in and manually rotating the tub). Thanks for the time and advice!

Remove the belt guard and check the nut that holds the large pulley on. If it's loose, apply blue 242 loctite and tighten nut. Eric
