I posted a YouTube video of the symptoms at Whirlpool washer LSR5233AW0 leaking spinning slow - YouTube If I could determine what needs to be done and what parts and tools I need, it will help me decide whether I should try to repair it or buy a new washer. Symptoms are:
1. Leaked water
2. Burning rubber smell
3. Clicking or clunking noise
4. Spinning very slow
5. Water did not drain
It is very hard to turn the inner tub by hand and it seems like there may be a foreign object jammed between the inner and outer tubs.

Need to remove the cabinet and defeat the lid switch for testing. Check around the pump and drain hoses for leakage. Try spin mode with the pump removed to determine if obstruction in pump is the problem. If it still makes the noise and spins slowly, remove the motor and check the drive coupling. It is normal to not be able to turn the inner tub by hand as it is held in place by the brakes which are only released when the gearcase is working in spin direction. This video will show you how to get the cabinet apart and remove the pump and check the coupler.
