I have this older Maytag Gas Dryer and it's been fantastic. Just a couple minor problems over the years I've been able to resolve myself but now I need help. The dryer will start, the igniting coil glows and the gas will ignite. After a few minutes I come back and there is no flame. The Igniting coil with glow and I hear a click then the coil goes out. The repeats until I turn off the dryer for 10 minutes or so and then the gas will ignite again. Becasue I hear this click (which sounds like the gas valve working) I assume the gas valve is good but no ignition. Ideas??

Try replacing the coils. My dryer was doing the same thing. I replaced the coils and it works great.

That was the ticket. I replaced the coils and it's working. Thanks for the help.
