Cycle starts normally and at some random time the Start/Resume light begins to blink and cycle stops. If I open and close the door, then press Start/Resume, the cycle will begin again and some times it will complete normally, other times it will stop again. I've reconnected wire nuts for power connection and manually operated door switch, which seems to be functioning properly. Not sure how to isolate the problem.

Hi Mark, Make sure the door switches bracket is not broken and the switch is not moving freely on the bracket. Try to move the door switch on another side of the bracket. - The bracket Part number: 8193882

Thanks Gene, I will try to take a look at that today, but I don't understand how the light could be blinking if the switch isn't making up. Where would the power come from to blink the light? It appears to me that the switch interrupts power as soon as it comes into the dishwasher.

You are welcome Mark. This is the way how Whirlpool engineers designed it. The control senses the door switch open when you pressed the Start button and assumed that the door is not locked yet. The blinking light in such situation is just the error code.
Gene.
