Hi, I have a KitchenAid KSCS25FKSS00 refrigerator. A few weeks ago, the freezer began not staying cold and we noticed that the compressor fan was going out. It was cleaned off and began working, but only for a short time. We called in a repair guy who said the compressor was bad. Another repair guy came and replaced the compressor, but after installing it, realized it was the wrong one (wouldn't start up because it didn't work with the inverter). He removed it and a week later installed (hopefully) the correct one. Now, this new one won't start up and they are saying it could be the control board. Unfortunately, this isn't made anymore, so we'd have to have it rebuilt. It's a little confusing because the control board was working before the first compressor was installed. Is it possible that they ruined it?
My question is: could it be the control board and is it worth having rebuilt? Is there anything else that could be wrong, such as the inverter?

Hi,
Yes, lots of things could be damaged if they did not know what they were doing. After all they installed the wrong compressor to start with. Who rebuilds the boards?
