I need a console glass touch pad (part # 9751898) for KitchenAid range model KESC307BWH5. Any Ideas

I need this part also but can't find one on the web. The glass touchpad on ours shattered into a thousand pieces but is still intact (safety glass?). All touch switches still work but there are many sharp edges on the glass fragments. If I completely remove the glass panel and whatever backing that's holding it together, will that expose the touch switches and will they work as before or are the switches somehow embedded in the glass itself? I'm hoping removing the glass would be a way get another year or two of service from an otherwise perfectly good range.
