I have an approx. 5 year old Frigidaire Affinity front loader (ATF7000FG0). Out of nowhere the lights can start blinking and the machine beeps. Sometimes it seems the microswitch for temperature settings is stuck, as with every beep, the machine cycles through the water temperature settings. But when I press a different button, for example the soil settings, the only effect it has is on the temperature setting. When I press cancel, the machine goes back to normal for a couple of seconds. I can then quickly choose the right settings and start the program. During the washing cycle it keeps beeping and giving 'ERR' in the display. But at least it seems to finish the washing cycle as normal.
The link to frigidaireservicetips.com doesn't work (anymore).
Who can offer me some advice on how to diagnose and solve the problem??

Is there any way to test the microswitches and just replace the faulty one? I don't feel happy paying 120 bucks when it is just a 1 dollar switch that is corroded or someting.

Hi Simon,
Thanks for the info you provided. Today I finally had the time to open up the machine. There are microswitches on the PCB, but to small the be user replaceable.
My control board unit looks a little different than the one you linked to. Part 137007000 seems to be missing the small dark display on the front. I think my part number is 134847920. Are you sure the part you recommend is compatible? I don't live in the US, so I want to be very sure I order the correct part (I don't want all the hassle with customs and shipping costs twice).
If you want I can try to upload some pictures, just let me know.

Hi.

If you look at the breakdown diagram Control Panel parts for Frigidaire ATF7000FG0 - AppliancePartsPros.com
check the parts #55,56,57.

The part #134847920 doesn't come up.

Thank you.

Simon.
