I have a GE True Temp double built in oven. The top oven does not heat when you try to set it to 'BAKE'. The temperature never changes. The elements are both cold no matter how long you wait. Could use some help troubleshooting and finding parts. Thanks!

The broiler on the top oven does not work. The lower oven works fine.

Hi.

Turn off the power to the oven.

Open the control panel, locate the BK1.Remove the wire from it (make sure it's not touching anything).
Turn the power back on.
Using the multimeter check for 120VAC between that wire to the ground. If the 120VAC present turn the oven to BAKE and check for 120VAC from BA1 to the ground.
No voltage - replace the control board Part number: WB27T10283
Part number: WB27T10283

Here are the breakdown parts and Control Panel parts for GE JTP45BA1BB - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

Simon.

I have model JKP45OA1BB. Are the instructions the same? I took apart the top (control unit) and could find the BAKE1 wire. I am assuming that is the BK1 you are referring to. I do have voltage on that wire. I cannot find a BA1 wire though.
