Control Panel has no lights. When pressing any control panel buttons no lights. Will not start. I read the forums and replaced the door switch. Success! Dishwasher worked. Next day new wash...no control panel lights again. So I flipped the main power for the house...to my surprise the dishwasher works again. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

Very likely the problem is a bad control panel with very small chance for the control board to be bad as well. If you need the correct part numbers, post the end of the model number.

Gene.

Gene your confidence is very helpful. The complete model number is MDB7100AWW. Another clue that might confirm your diagnosis is that about a year ago the Auto Wash button stopped working so we started using the Normal Wash button. I might also say that some other buttons stopped working as well. Thank you.

Now even if I trip the main breaker to the house to reset the dishwasher does not work. So the dishwasher control panel does not work. Should I replace the control panel, or do I have a different problem? I guess the question is this... I spent $33 on the door latch, then $77 for the control panel. What if I need to replace the circuit board $277. Should I just buy a new machine? Any comments? I suppose I

It's worth to replace the control panel and give it a try. If it would not fix it then you can just return the part. Of course if it's ordered from APP.
