Hey guys-
I'm hoping someone can help me or point me in the right direction.

Problem: the washer goes through the cycle and freezes on the last minute. Its finished, the water drains, but the door on the washer won't unlock.

The first problem code was F20- low or no water pressure. After many steps, I cleaned out the water intake in the back, yes, it was goobered up pretty badly.

The door STILL won't unlock so I was just positive that the door lock mechanism was bad. I replaced it. STILL when I do the diagnostic cycle, it finishes at 'rinse and spin' meaning check door lock mechanism.

I was able to put it through a 'rinse and spin' cycle, the water did fill the tub and drain out, but it still froze with one minute to go and the door didn't unlock.

Do any of you guys have any ideas on where to go from here?

Thanks for your help- I appreciate it!

Christina

Hi Christina,

Very likely the problem is a bad main control board (CCU).

Thanks Gene- not what I wanted to hear, but after replacing the pressure switch today and still having the same problem- it's what I was beginning to think too.
I appreciate your help!

So I ordered and received the CCU. I replaced and and still the same problem. I plug it in and turn it on, nothing. I do diagnostics and the dial spins around to 'door lock'.

Any other ideas?

Christina

Hi Christina,

I'm sorry to hear it. You already replaced all parts which could cause it. Check the wire harness between the door lock and the CCU. Make sure all connections are firm.

If there is nothing wrong then you probably have to call a factory authorized tech.
