Hello, my GE XL44 oven stopped working, the range top works fine. I have searched the forum and I see that I am not the first person to have this issue. I ordered/received/installed a new oven ignitor however the oven still does not work.
I read the manual and it suggested that the gas may not be flowing to the oven but the switch is in the open position.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi. Does the broil works? Was it a round ignitor that you replaced? Unplug the unit, get to the control board, plug it in, turn the bake on and using the multimeter check for 120VAC between BK and N. If correct voltage present check the wire harness and with unit off check the continuity at the bake contacts of the safety gas valve Part number: WB19K14
Replace if contacts are open. If there is no voltage present at the control board contacts BK and N - replace the clock Part number: WB27K10143

Hi.
Most likely it's the clock, but don't replace it with out checking first.

Just wondering, why would the clock prevent the oven from firing and not the burners?
Thank you again

Hi.
The clock doesn't control the burners.
