Hi.

Did you replace the door switch?
Does the dispenser light works?
Does this problem with ice and water happened at the same time?
Is there any noise when the levers are pushed?
What are the last two letters in the model number?

Simon.

Hi Simon, thanks for the reply and questions.
I did not rplace the door switch.
The dispenser light does work.
The problem is with both at the same time.
The only noise is the delay timer resetting the ice door flap.
The only model numbers on the door sticker is TFX27R, but from a manual that I downloaded from the GE site there was hand written TFX27RK and TFX27RL PUB 49-6570.
If this helps with any other ideas, please let me know.
Thanks for your help.

Simon, I will do that but a question on the door switch. If the switch also turns on the lights in the freezer when the door opens and that happens would the switch be bad?

Thanks for all of your help in helping me resolve this problem.

Hi.

Sorry. I meant the interlock switch Part number: WR23X161
Part number: WR23X161

But if you replaced that one check if there is 120VAC at the water valve solenoid when the lever is pressed.
Check both micro switches inside the dispenser and also the disconnect plug.

Hi.

Unplug the fridge and use 2 flat screw drivers or small putty knife to pry it out.

Hi Simon,

Sorry for taking so long to get back with you, the refrig is at my hunting camp and I only go there some weekends. I was able to get the interlock switch off and found out that a wire had broken off the switch. So I fixed it and it works fine now. Thanks for all of your help. :)
