I have an lg dishwasher that developed a high pitched squel when operating- sometimes in wash sometimes thru many cycles- they have replaced the circulator motor on the bottom and then the vapor assmby motor in the door panel- still a high pitched noise- not a water inlet noise - more like a bad bearing or metal to metal that varies pitch- I noticed in your parts fiche that there is another pump assembly on the side by the main motor- does this motor run all the time- the noise can run for 20-30 minutes

Mine did the same. Talked to a technician and he said it is a very common problem. From inside the dishwasher at the bottom take parts off to expose pump. There is a metal blade that can be turned upside down and it will stop for awhile. After that the pump needs to be replaced.

I would try the cutting blade first. LG came out with a new part number that supersedes the old cutting blade. The new part # is 5832DD4001B and can be ordered here. Blade is less than $5 and took care of my high shrill squell.
