Washer will not run. Vertical led's flash nine times, then repeats. Start button led never flashes. Never saw this before, washer just two years old. Washer can't be put in diagnostic mode. Hope someone has seen this before.

Rich

My experience when I cannot get these models into diagnostic mode is to replace the control unit, not a guaranteed fix as the darn door lock assembly sometimes interferes with the control unit.

In case you don't have it here is a link to the repair manual.

I agree Sidfink43. I think the error code is E95 which is a communication error and the fix is replace the control board.
The fact that the start led fails to light up and display 5 flashes means the circuit is probably blown out.
I think the control initially sends power to the mcu and if the mcu has a failure, that msg is sent to the control where it promptly shuts the power off. This is a saftey issue. This I can check by monitoring the mcu power at startup.
I will order a new control on this site as the old one just might be good, and the failure may be in the mcu.

Good luck, I hope that does it, and let us know how it works out. These models have so much trouble between the CCU, MCU and door lock assembly that any new info is very helpful.

Well, a new module fixed it! Rather unusual failure though, first one I have seen like this.

Neat, glad you got it fixed.

Yeah, someone needs to tell us how electronic controls ever improved anything on these machines.

An advanced Google search gave me a lot of info on this problem
Electronics are needed on these machines to prevent motor burnout and for safety.
There is less than a 1/3 hp motor in these to get low power usage. There are electronic protections to prevent 1/2 or higher hp loads from damaging components.

my washer would beep 9 times over and over. couldn't get it to diagnose the problem. took the board out then put it all back together, now it works fine.

best guess is board connection problems from maybe corrosion??

now it works fine
